Online Educational Products - Kelly Romero

Teachers need to carefully review online products and software before implementing them in their classroom. There are several aspects of online or technology products to consider.

Because teachers need to present an equitable curriculum for their students, one aspect to consider would be whether or not the product can be adjusted or used in a way to meet the individual needs of students. Edsoft.com recommends asking the question, “Can you change the level of difficulty?” It is important to consider whether or not learning objectives will be met through the use of the tool and to always determine whether the product is meaningful and appropriate of the age group that you are teaching. Keeping these questions in mind, along with research and product reviews will help teachers and students get the most out of the classroom tools that they use.

  1. I would agree with you that teachers need to review online products before implementing them in the classroom. One of the things I noticed with this assignment though is that it is fairly difficult to find quality online reviews for teachers to use. The 3 links and descriptions you offered seem like they may be very useful for a teacher who is looking for reviews.
